What's Included
What you can expect in this program
- Six weekly classes that are designed for you to creatively work and grow, using art to express your journey in recovery.
- Many ways of dealing with substance use and addiction, used in conjunction with in-class activities.
What you will learn:
- Basic skills in drawing and proper use of artistic tools.
- Breathwork, meditation, journaling, and prayer being used along with art lessons.
- To produce a portfolio of your artistic works that represent your experience with substance abuse and addiction.

In Memory of Jacob Beese
In January 2021 a bright young man, Jacob Beese, lost his life to substance use and addiction. His mother, Jane Beese, is honoring his legacy by leading Art Therapy programs for people who are dealing with life challenges, including addictions. Art therapy offers a creative, artistic avenue of healing. These Art Therapy programs are held in-person (in the Akron, OH area) and online.

Donate to the Jacob Beese Scholarship for Art Therapy
Through this scholarship, the Art Therapy for Substance Use & Addiction courses shall be made available to all who are drawn to the work and have the will to change, regardless of financial status or limitation.

Update as of September 2023: We are pleased to announce that The Centre for Transformation has been granted 501(c)(3) charitable organization status by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This designation means that we are now officially recognized as a nonprofit organization, and as such, donations made to us are tax-deductible for donors.
