STUDENT COURSE
This online course is specifically designed for people who are on the substance abuse recovery journey. It is created by Dr. Jane Beese, an Art Therapist and professor. Her life was personally impacted by substance abuse when her son Jacob passed away due to an overdose. Jacob was a creative, wonderful person. Jane is deeply committed to honoring Jacob’s legacy through bringing the therapeutic modality of Art Therapy to as many people as she can.

Do you want to learn to utilize the therapeutic potential of art with people who are recovering from substance abuse and addiction?
In the Art2Essence Level 1 Training Course (a certified Non-Clinical Art Therapy online program), you’ll learn the important techniques and necessary information from Art Therapist, Dr. Jane Beese, Ph.D.
You’ll also receive education on clinical guidance from counselor Michael Sayre, Th.M.
Engaging multimedia content is provided throughout the course – video, audio, educational slides, and more. This is a holistic course designed for whole-person healing.
Upon completion of the course, you will be able to lead an Art2Essence Program for individuals dealing with addiction and substance abuse. Dr. Jane Beese is available throughout the duration of your course to address any questions or concerns.

The Jacob Beese Memorial Scholarship for Art Therapy was instated as a means for individuals like yourself to make charitable donations that go directly to the running of the Art Therapy program. Donations go towards buying supplies for students experiencing addictions. Jacob Beese was the son of Dr. Jane Beese. He lost his life due to substance abuse. It is Jane’s mission to help support other sensitive and artistic souls like Jacob to utilize Therapeutic Art on their own healing journeys.
